Borussia Dortmund vs Wolfsburg Prediction & Betting Tips - Bundesliga

2020 didn't end well for Borussia Dortmund and they need to start winning again. They begin the new year in fifth place in the Bundesliga and host Wolfsburg who are fourth. Dortmund now trail leaders Bayern Munich by eight points and that's a massive gap to make up on a team that rarely loses. That's not been the case for Borussia Dortmund who have been defeated in four of their last seven league games. This poor run began with a 3-2 home loss to Bayern Munich after leading 1-0. Other defeats by Koln, Stuttgart and Union Berlin have followed, the first two being in home matches. A form guide for the last five league games has Dortmund down in 15th with just four points earned. Not since 2013 have Dortmund lost three home league games in a row but the loss to Stuttgart equalled that record. They will hope to avoid equalling their 2000 performance when losing four successive home league games. It's not just the losses that are worrying, they have conceded ten goals in those three home losses, five put past them by Stuttgart.All that after beginning the season with three home wins, all with clean sheets. Both teams have scored in their last seven league matches with no clean sheet since October. 

Wolfsburg are fourth and two points clear of Dortmund but six behind league leaders Bayern Munich. They have only lost one league game this season but drawn six out of 13. Only Eintracht Frankfurt on eight have drawn more league fixtures than Wolfsburg. Their only loss was inflicted on them at, surprise surprise, Bayern Munich. They lost 2-1 but did take an early lead in that match. played on December 16. They bounced back from that loss with a 1-0 home win over Stuttgart, before beating Sandhousen 4-0 in the German Cup. Only one of their last six away matches in the Bundesliga has been won. That was at bottom-of-the-table and forever changing managers Schalke. Their last two away wins have both been against Schalke!  Four of the last six have been drawn and the same stat applies to both teams scoring in away league games. With Dortmund in trouble, a bet on both teams scoring in this match is the suggested wager to make.
