The top two in the German Bundesliga face each other. It’s a game that second-placed Borussia Dortmund just can’t afford to lose against Bayern Munich. Dortmund come into the game still four points behind the league leaders. The weekend saw a familiar pattern with Dortmund winning to close the gap, then Bayern restoring their lead later on. Dortmund had the most impressive result though, going to sixth-placed Wolfsburg and winning 2-0. A goal in each half secured their sixth straight league win and their ninth in ten games. Ten goals have now been scored by them in their last four league games. Six have come in the two games played since the season resumed, both with clean sheets.
Dortmund are yet to lose a home league game this season. Nine out of 12 home league games have been won with 45 goals scored and just ten conceded. Their last five home league matches have all been won with an aggregate score of 19-1. Obviously this is a lot harder task against the league leaders but Dortmund have won two of their last three home games against Bayern in the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich know a win here will be a massive step towards winning another Bundesliga title. Saturday saw a 5-2 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt. They were strolling at 3-0 up after 52 minutes but then conceded twice in three minutes before pulling away again. A lapse of concentration like that can’t happen in this far tougher fixture. The win made it 11 victories and a draw in their last 12 league fixtures. They have the best away record in the Bundesliga with nine wins, two draws and a couple of defeats. Bayern made a slow start to the season but they have turned that around with six straight away victories scoring 22 goals and conceding just three. A titanic struggle looks likely but when Bayern are in form and scoring lots of goals, it's hard to back against them. Go for an away win here.

Their lead at the top is four points and a win in Dortmund would take them a massive step towards winning the Bundesliga. Away form is strong and the goals keep on coming. Dortmund are chasing hard and will be difficult to beat but the bet here is on an away victory.
