Marseille looked to be staying in fourth place at the weekend when scoring two first-half goals at home to Angers. It wasn't to be as they conceded two penalties and had to settle for a draw. That moved them down to fifth in the league after St Etienne beat Nimes to move into the Europa League place. A win at Bordeaux will see them reclaim fourth position. Only one of their last eight league games have been lost and that was away to league-leaders PSG. On their travels, Marseille have only one win in their last four games.

Bordeaux have no wins in their last five league games with only one victory in the last 11 and that was at home to Toulouse who are 14th in the table. The home side are safe from relegation worries as despite being 13th in Ligue 1, they are 12 points above the bottom three. Home form for Bordeaux has resulted in just two points from their last three games. That's a bit of a come down as they had won their previous two and a League Cup tie. Marseille need the points from this game and with their opponents in poor form and with little to play for, the tip here is an away victory.
