Bloomfield Road is venue for this Championship match when Blackpool play host to Hull City. The host are on a horror run of results and have won just one of their last ten matches. They were handily placed in the promotional playoffs earlier in the season but they have taken just six points from a possible 30 which has seen them drop into mid table. They are however just five points outside the playoff positions but have played more matches than the teams above them. Their sole victory in the last ten matches was a 3-1 home win against Peterborough. Despite their poor form they will be confident coming up against Hull having gone without defeat against them in their last nine matches with four wins and five draws. The last time Blackpool faced Hull in the Championship was also on New Year’s Day in 2013 when the match ended in a goalless draw.

Hull were deep in relegation trouble until they went on a six game unbeaten run which was finally ended in their last match when they lost 2-1 to Nottingham. They are still just four points above the relegation zone and know any more losses could see them battling for survival. Hull have recorded just three victories on the road this season in their 12 away matches with two of those wind coming in the last four matches. Hull have won their first match of the year in the last three years scoring nine goals without conceding any.
