Blackburn vs Swansea Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

This is a key match for Swansea City as they bid to return to the Premier League. They are third in the Championship and a win at 15th placed Blackburn will take them second. After the weekend games, Swansea are a point behind Watford in the second automatic promotion place but have two games in hand, though an inferior goal difference. Saturday saw the Welsh side get a 2-1 home win over Middlesbrough. They led 1-0 going into the 91st minute but then Boro equalized. It wasn't until the 97th minute that Andre Ayew scored his second goal of the game, this time from the penalty spot. It was a lucky win as Boro had a seemingly perfect goal disallowed. That was the second league game in a row that Swansea have won a match thanks to a second half injury time penalty by Ayew. The win over Boro was their third win in four league matches. Away from home, Swansea have won eight out of 15 league games with four losses. They have won four of their last five but recently lost 4-1 at relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town who haven't won since. Swansea have scored six goals in their last three away league matches but conceded the same number.

Blackburn Rovers don't have a great deal to play for. They are 14 points behind the final promotion play-off position but also 11 clear of the relegation zone. Any hopes of getting into the top six disappeared during a disastrous February. Six league games produced just a single point. They began March with another loss but finally got back into winning ways with a 2-0 win at Millwall on Saturday, a welcome win after losing their last four on the road. Home form has seen them win one of their last six home league fixtures with one win, two draws and three defeats. They do get on the scoresheet at home but nearly always concede.  10 of their last 11 home league games have seen both teams score. The worry about Swansea is that they have only just been getting wins and there was that poor defeat at Huddersfield. Will Blackburn continue that winning form from the weekend.  Go for both teams to score in this game.
