Bournemouth need to stop drawing games if they want to clinch promotion back to the Premier League. They are second in the Championship and travel to Blackburn who are seventh at the time of writing this preview. Bournemouth have a three point lead over Nottingham Forest in third with three games remaining. They host Forest in their penultimate game but will want to win at Blackburn to strengthen their position. A defeat here and success for Forest over Swansea would see their rivals go second on goal difference. Bournemouth have drawn four of their last five league games. They were lucky to get a point at Swansea on Tuesday as they were 3-0 down going into the 72nd minute. Only one of their last five away league games have been lost with 11 games won on the road.

Blackburn are seventh but will drop to eighth if Middlesbrough beat Cardiff on Wednesday. Rovers are three points behind the final promotion play-off spot held by Sheffield United. The gap could get wider though as United play at QPR on Friday. If they win that then Blackburn have to win this game to keep their promotion hopes alive. Blackburn's chances of a return to the Premier League were much brighter a few weeks ago. However, their last ten league games have seen them earn just nine points, putting them 21st in a form guide for that period. They have won 12 home league games this season but have only one point from their last two. This game is a vital one and a bet on both teams to score looks a good one to make.
