Last season saw Swansea City relegated from the Premier League but they have made a good start in their bid to return at the first time of asking. They had gone 13 games without a win and lost eight in a row so fans weren't too hopeful of their team making a strong start to the season. However, that's what has happened and they began the season with a 2-1 win at Sheffield United and followed that up with a 1-0 home win over Preston North End. They face a couple of difficult games now as they bid to continue their strong start with a home game against impressive Leeds United four days after this game.

Birmingham City struggled to stay out of the relegation battle last season after making a poor start under Harry Redknapp who was soon shown the door. They haven't made a good start this time around with just one point from their first two Championship games leaving them 19th in the table. Birmingham kicked off with a 2-2 home draw with Norwich City, so nearly winning but conceding a 90th minute equalizer, a minute after taking the lead. That was followed by a 1-0 loss at Middlesbrough and then on Tuesday they crashed out of the Carabao Cup losing 2-0 at Reading. No goals in their last two games and it's hard to back them at present, go for Swansea to make it three wins out of three.
