When you win your Champions League group, it's supposed to give you the chance of an easier draw in the last sixteen. That proved to be far from the case when group winners Besiktas ended up being drawn against Bayern Munich who finished runners-up in their group behind PSG. With the first leg being away from home, the Turkish side had to venture to Germany and come back with some kind of result that would give them a chance of progressing to the last eight, losing 5-0 was not the result they were aiming for. The loss in Germany is the only one they have suffered in their last 12 league and cup games and have gone 21 home games without defeat but the Turks were outclassed in the first leg and there's no reason to believe that won't happen again this week. Of their three home group games, Besiktas beat Leipzig but were held to draws by both Monaco and Porto and they have only won one of their last seven home Champions League games, Bayern Munich are a side no one will want to draw in the last eight and are on a run of 19 ubeaten games in all competitions with four straight clean sheets, They aren't always at their best on their travels in the Champions League but have won their last two. They will play a weakened side given the fact they have such a big league but they should have enough strength in depth to get a win heree
