Ben Shelton is in top form and is a win away from his fourth successive quarter-final. The fifth seed won the Canadian Open last week and faces 22nd-seeded Jiri Lehecka in round four of the Cincinnati Open. Time for our match prediction.
Wednesday saw Shelton beat unseeded Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets. That extended his winning streak to eight matches with just two defeats in his last 17 on all surfaces. The 22-year-old is up to sixth in the live rankings and will go fifth if winning this tournament.
This is his second match against Lehecka. Shelton won the previous one in straight sets but that was played on grass.
Jiri Lehecka beat Adam Walton in the last round but both sets went to a tie-break. He's lost one set so far this week, that was in his opening match against wild card Tristan Boyer. Lehecka is in the fourth round of this Masters tournament for the first time.
The 2025 Brisbane International champion is now 23rd in the live rankings, one short of his career-high. For the winner of this match, there's a quarter-final against either Alexander Zverev or Karen Khachanov in the last eight.
