The pick of the World Cup qualifiers on Monday night will come from the King Baudouin Stadium, where Belgium will be playing host to Wales. The Red Devils are fourth in the Group J standings, while the Dragons lead the group. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Belgium have qualified for each of the last three World Cup competitions and are the favourites to do so again this year, despite a slip-up in their opening match. 

The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by North Macedonia in their first match of the group on Friday night when an 87th-minute Ezgjan Alioski goal forced them to settle for a share of the spoils. 

However, the hosts are a difficult team to beat at home, having won six of their last eight on home soil, with the exceptions being defeats against Italy and France in the Nations League. 

Meanwhile, Wales returned to the World Cup main draw for the first time since 1958 in 2022, and they have made a strong start to the current campaign too, unbeaten after three games. 

The Dragons beat Liechtenstein 3-0 on Friday night and took four points from their two games in March, beating Kazakhstan 3-1 and drawing 1-1 with North Macedonia. They are now unbeaten in nine. 

On the road, the visitors are unbeaten in four games, though the last three were draws. However, they are winless against Belgium in their last four encounters (D2 L2).
