Bayern Munich top the Bundesliga by seven points and the title is almost won. They face an awkward but winnable game away at fifth- placed Bayer Leverkusen who are looking to complete a league double over Bayern. Leverkusen bounced back from their surprise home loss to Wolfsburg with a 1-0 win at Freiburg on Friday. Kai Havertz got the winning goal early in the second half to make it seven in his last six games. The win boosted Leverkusen’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League and are only behind Borussia Monchengladbach on goal difference. It was their sixth win from their last seven games in all competitions with just one loss in the last 14. Home form was strong before that Wolfsburg loss with seven league wins this season. 

The league leaders will be looking for revenge after losing the reverse fixture 2-1 in November. The weekend saw them continue their march towards the league title. The 5-0 home win over Fortuna Dusseldorf was their eight successive league victory. The last 15 league games have produced 14 wins and a draw.  They have won ten of their 14 away league matches with the last six in the Bundesliga all won. The goals keep flowing with 16 scored in their last five with only two conceded. They have three straight away clean sheets but that might be hard to maintain against Leverkusen. That loss to Wolfsburg showed up a few flaws in the Leverkusen side. Up against an in-form Bayern, the tip here is for an away victory.
