Borussia Dortmund can go level on points with Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich if winning this game. They start the weekend in third place but have a tricky away game at Bayer Leverkusen who are fifth in the table. Leverkusen trail their opponents by five points and need to bounce back from their loss last weekend at Hoffenheim. They led that game 1-0 but ended up losing it 2-1. That ended a run of three straight league wins though they were all achieved against sides currently in the bottom four. this is going to be a lot tougher. Leverkusen have won four out of ten home league games with two losses. Both those defeats have come in their last five at home to Hertha Berlin and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Dortmund are third and have won each of their last three league games. The goals have certainly been flowing with them scoring five times in each of those matches. The opposition has been Augsburg, FC Koln and Union Berlin, all currently placed between 10th and 14th. Three of their last four away league games have ended in victory with 12 goals scored in those matches. Their only away loss in the last four has been at Hoffenheim who are in top form with four wins in their last five. Dortmund have won four of ten away games but their current form is strong and they can win this game.
