Barnsley welcomes Bournemouth to Oakwell in this Matchday 28 encounter in the Championship. The hosts are in 24th position with 14 points while the visitors are in 3rd position with 49 points. Barnsley look set for the drop as they are last on the table and are a massive six points from safety. They have only won twice in 26 matches and their last victory was at the beginning of November. They are now ten matches without a league victory. Their home form is just as poor with one win in their last 11 matches. Their points tally of 14 at this stage of the season is their worst in the 13 seasons of being in the Championship. Barnsley have an uphill task in this match as they have only won three times in 14 previous matches against Bournemouth. They lost the reverse fixture 3-0 earlier this season.

Bournemouth were in superb form earlier in the season and were challenging for the title in a run that included ten wins in 12 matches. Their recent form has been dismal as they have won just two of their last ten league games with three draws and five losses. Bournemouth should be confident coming into this match as they are unbeaten in their last six away matches to Barnsley winning four and drawing two. They will again  look to Dominic Solanke for goals as he has scored in his last three matches against Barnsley.
