Barcelona vs Sevilla Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

Barcelona are on their worst run in La Liga since 2016 and it's four games without a win for the defending champions. They had started the season well with four straight victories but then had to come from behind twice to get a home point against Girona. Worse was to follow as they lost 2-1 away to bottom of the table Leganes and their last two league games have both ended in draws and they went behind in both of those. All these leaves them second in the table going into the weekend a point behind Sevilla. Home form has seen Barcelona unbeaten in their last 40 La Liga matches and after two consecutive home wins they will be looking to get back in winning ways having not gone three home league games without a win since 2003 but have won their last nine home games against Sevilla.

It's unusual to see top spot in La Liga not being filled by either one of the Madrid teams or Barcelona but Sevilla currently top the table by a point. Chances are they won't be league leaders by the time this match begins as both Madrid sides play before them. It's been a good start to the season for Sevilla despite losing two of their eight league games. They started off with a win at Rayo Vallecano but then only managed a point against Villarreal and Real Betis, the latter beating them 1-0 away. A home loss to Getafe followed but since then they have won four games in a row scoring 14 goals including a 3-0 home win over Real Madrid. Their last nine away league games have only produced three wins and as mentioned, they have a terrible record away to Barcelona. Go for the home win in this match.
