Australia are ranked sixth in the world but are in trouble in this Women's World Cup group. They lost their first match to Italy who are 15th in the world and are fully expected to make it six points out of six with a victory over Jamaica. That puts Australia in danger of having to rely on being one of the best third placed teams in order to qualify for the knock-out stages. Australia have now lost three games in a row following defeats by current world champions the USA and the Netherlands. Before this trio of losses they had won four games in a row. Their last meeting with Brazil was in the 2018 Tournament of Nations and the Australians won that game 3-1, that's their fourth win in a row over the Brazilian and something similar to that would be an ideal result in this match.

Brazil won their first group game 3-0 against Jamaica and will be hopeful of making it into the knock-out stages. The win over Jamaica ended a run of nine defeats in a row and 10 of their last 11. They have been playing the top nations though and will find this match against Australia a lot tougher than their opening encounter. This is a tough one to call but a bet on over 2.5 goals being scored looks one that can be a winner.
