Atletico Madrid are back to winning ways and will be looking to make it two in a row in the league, when they host Granada in their third straight home match. Atletico go into this match with 60 points, in fourth position, taking on 16th placed Granada, who have 29 points thus far. A Yannick Carasco brace saw Atletico beat Espanyol 2-1 in their last game, to end a run of three matches without a win or goal. They however paid a price with the sending off of Geoffrey Kondogbia, and the midfielder stands suspended for this game. Atletico are 15 points behind league leaders Real Madrid, and with six matches to go, it is safe to say they’ve been dethroned. They have four wins in the last five league matches, but only one clean sheet. In those five league matches Atletico have failed to score in one and three have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Granada are struggling and coming into this game they suffered yet another defeat, falling 4-1 at home to fellow strugglers, Levante. That was their second straight loss and they’ve now conceded 13 times in the last five matches. Both sides have scored in five of Granada’s last six matches and though they have just one win in 14 league matches, their scoring run is a positive they can look to. Granada have scored two or more in three of their last four league games and each of the last four league matches has produced over 2.5 goals, after conceding two or more in each of the last four league games. The same is the case away from home; they have conceded two or more in the last four, losing four of five and failing to score in two of the five away league games.
