Group D in the Champions League should be dominated by Juventus and Atletico Madrid. They both have four points with Atletico in second and the Spaniards host bottom-of-the-group Bayer Leverkusen. Atletico have so far drawn 2-2 at home to Juventus and won 2-0 away at Lokomotiv Moscow. They had to battle hard to get a point against Juventus after going 2-0 down. Two second-half goals got them the win in Russia. Now they have two games against Bayer Leverkusen and will look to get at least four points to take them close to qualification. Atletico are fourth in La Liga and three points behind leaders Barcelona. Four of their last five league games have ended in draws and again low-scoring matches are the usual fare.

Bayer Leverkusen are in deep trouble in this group after losing both of their games so far. The Bundesliga side (currently ninth in their domestic league) lost 3-0 at Juventus and then were defeated 2-1 at home by Lokomotiv Moscow. The second loss was the most disastrous as it affects their hopes of finishing third and going into the Europa League. Current form isn't good with two losses and a draw in their last three games and seven goals conceded. Away form has seen 10 goals conceded in the last four with one victory and three defeats. Their only recent away win in the Champions League came at Tottenham three years ago. Go for a home win in this match.
