Atletico Madrid have a huge task in their hands as they welcome AC Milan to Spain for the Match Day 5 clash in the Champions League. Going to the Group B game, Atletico are third with four points while Milan are bottom on one point. With second placed Porto playing away to Liverpool, Atletico can keep their hopes up on going second. The Spaniards are coming from a hard fought 1-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga. They have lost their flow and are really struggling to win even what would seem like the easy games. The big positive for Atletico here will be the availability of Antoine Griezmann for this game after a successful appeal against his red card in the Liverpool game. In the Champions League, they have ne win only in their last five matches and one clean sheet as well.

AC Milan have never prevailed in matches against Atletico; in their three earlier meetings, they’ve suffered straight losses. This game comes at a time Milan have hit a slump and they will have to really give much to save their European sojourn. Milan are coming from a first loss in Serie A this season, beaten 4-3 by Fiorentina, which also marked a third straight winless outing for the Italian giants. They just returned to the Champions League after seven seasons out and are really struggling. A trip to Madrid is never an easy one under the circumstances and the fact that they have no clean sheet in the last four doesn’t help. They already have two away losses in this group and in their last five away Champions League matches, Milan have four losses.
