The Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atalanta is the venue for this MLS encounter on Saturday evening between two sides in the Eastern Conference.  Atalanta are the hosts and sit in tenth place looking to put a seven game winless run behind them.  They could not have asked for tougher opposition though as New England sit top of the conference standings though they are also on a winless run with no victory in their last three.

Atalanta have only lost three of their 12 this season but have a tendency to draw too many with seven of these games finishing all-square including their most recent one which ended 2-2 against Nashville.  At home, they last played on June 27th in a game that ended goalless against New York Red Bulls and made it three successive draws at their own place and no defeat in four.  In two of the last three in front of their own fans they have thrown away a two goal lead in the final ten minutes.

New England paid for a poor start in their last fixture going three down in the opening 24 minutes against Toronto and despite getting two goals back they could not find the third which means it just one point from their last three.  Their fixtures tend to be high scoring with each of the last five seeing both teams score and going over 2.5 goals.  On the road, they have been a mixed bag with two victories, three draws and two defeats from their seven games.
