Aston Villa are eyeing European football next season and this will be a key highlight when they host Leicester City in their next league match on Sunday. The home team is currently placed eighth in the standings with 36 points and Leicester City are third with 46 points. Villa have two matches in hand and with wins, they could rise to the top four. That however is not fully in their control. What they can influence at the moment is this contest with title chasing Leicester, who mathematically are still in the race. They have no loss in the last five matches (three wins, two draws). In the last 15 matches Leicester have lost just one game and won nine. They have four clean sheets in the last five matches – scored six and conceded just one goal in the process. Leicester are a strong side away from home and will hope this rubs in in the tour of Villa Park. The Foxes are unbeaten in their last seven away matches in the league, winning four. In the 12 away league matches this season, they’ve won eight and lost just once. They lost 1-0 in their earlier meeting with Aston Villa in the league this season. Leicester have a longer injury list ahead of this game. Dennis Praet, Wesley Fofana, Ayoze Perez, Timothy Castagne, and James Justin are all ruled out.
