Aston Villa suffered a 3-0 home loss to Manchester United on Thursday and dropped to 19th in the Premier League. They host 14th placed Crystal Palace who have lost each of their last four league fixtures. Villa begin the weekend four points from safety with four games remaining. They will be hoping and praying that West Ham and Watford have bad results the day before this match. The worst case scenario is wins for both of their rivals and starting this match seven points from safety. Whatever the deficit, Villa need to win this match and end a run of ten league games without a win. They have lost four of their last five games with only a couple of draws from the six league games played since re-start. Home form has seen them earn just a single point from their last five at Villa Park. They have Palace and Arsenal to play at home and trips to Everton and West Ham remaining as they try to somewhow escape the bottom three. Their main target must be to be within reach of West Ham before playing them on the final day of the Premier League season. It's not looking good for them though with them struggling for goals. Only two goals have been scored in their last six league games and none in the last three, relegation looms for Villa.

Now they are 14th and a top ten finish is the best they can hope for. Even that is seven points away with only four games remaining. Away form for Palace has seen them win five times in the Premier League this season. The last two have both been lost with seven goals conceded and none scored. A bet on under 2.5 goals being scored in this game looks a great one to make.
