Aston Villa vs Chelsea Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

With both teams needing points, the Premier League game between Aston Villa and Chelsea on Saturday is bound to be interesting. Each side needs the points for a different reason. Chelsea, fourth in the table, have to stave off their Champions League rivals, especially with Manchester United, Wolves, and Sheffield United hot on their heels. Villa, 19th in the table, are two points from safety with a game in hand. Their destiny is in their hands but, after four losses on the trot, Villa fans won't be holding their breath. If they are to stand any chance of picking up points between now and the end of the season, it's likely to be at Villa Park. Away from home, Villa have lost 11 of their 15 matches, compared to only six defeats from 13 on their own turf. 

Although they have the third-best away record in the Premier League, Chelsea haven't travelled well of late. Failing to win any of their last four league games on the road, this Villa fixture could be tricky. Then again, their last Premier League trip came before the emergence of Billy Gilmour. The titchy 18-year-old followed up a commanding display against Liverpool in the FA Cup with an equally assured shift in the 4-0 win over Everton on his first top-flight start. It is exactly the kind of fresh injection of quality that Frank Lampard needed after a string of tired performances. Gilmour's introduction has been complemented by upturns in form for senior figures like Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley. This turning of a corner leads us to believe that Chelsea will get the win against Villa.
