Aslan Karatsev vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

This semi-final in the Dubai Championships sees second seeded Andrey Rublev up against rising star Aslan Karatsev. Rublev is having an impressive 2021 and began it being one half of the Russian team that won the ATP Cup. He then reached the quarter finals of the Australian Open and recently won the Rotterdam tournament. Last week saw him reach the last four in Doha, though because of byes and withdrawals he didn't actually win a match in that event. Last October saw him win two ATP tournaments, so he is always a player to follow. This week has seen him win three matches for the loss of 17 games. The only seed he has beaten has been Taylor Fritz (15th).

Aslan Karatsev has also had an impressive year. He's the current world number 42 but that's 72 places higher than he was at the start of February. Karatsev reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open, losing to Novak Djokovic in straight sets. He had to play eight matches to get that far and beat three players in the top 21. Last week saw him take Dominic Thiem to three sets before losing. He's had another good run this week with victories over three seeds, namely Dan Evans, Lorenzo Sonego and Jannik Sinner. The last two of those have gone to three sets and this is a lot tougher. Go for Rublev to win in straight sets.
