Arsenal saw off Bayern Munich 2 – 1 in their opening match at the International Champions Cup while Fiorentina brought to an end a winless run with a win over Mexican side Guadalajara by the same margin and they will both be seeking to extend their good starts. Arsenal will however go to this game on the better run, with four wins and a loss in the last five matches and five wins with four losses in their last 10. They will however seek to improve defensively, having managed just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches but will have their scoring run to bank on, after netting in nine of their last 10 matches. Arsenal have two wins in five ICC matches and no clean sheets therein. Just like Arsenal, Fiorentina will be playing their sixth ICC game. In their recent run across all competition, Fiorentina’s win over Guadalajara in the ICC, was their first victory in 17 matches and in the process they have suffered nine losses. In the last 18 matches, Fiorentina have managed just two clean sheets and have scored in just one of their last six matches. They are however unbeaten in their last four ICC matches, winning three and drawing one. Of the five matches they have played at the ICC tournament, Fiorentina have picked just one loss and they have two clean sheets.
