Arsenal's season is in danger of gradually falling apart and they just have to get three points from this game. The Gunners are sixth in the table but eight points adrift of the Champions League places with a vastly inferior goal difference too. They have gone five league and cup games without a win and this game at home to Palace begins an important few days for Arsenal with the second-leg of the Carabao Cup being played in midweek. Last week, Arsenal lost away at Bournemouth and they have only won two of their last eight league games. Home form has seen Arsenal lose only one of their last 18 league games at the Emirates, that being the recent loss to Manchester United on December 2. Crystal Palace are up to 12th in the table, something their fans could not have hoped for after their disastrous start to the season. They are unbeaten in their last three league games since losing 3-2 at home to Arsenal in December. Away form hasn't been great for Palace this season with only two wins and nine points from 11 matches. Just the six away league goals but they are unbeaten in their last five away league matches with three of them being drawn. None of those games have been against sides in the top seven and they have lost five of their last six away league games against Arsenal Their win at Highbury in 1994 is the only time they have won an away league game against the Gunners. Arsenal know they can't afford to drop points in this game and can get a home win here.
