Fifth seed Amanda Anisimova and 10th seed Elina Svitolina will battle each other in the fourth round in Montreal. This is their first meeting since 2021. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Amanda Anisimova was in excellent form in the second round against Emma Raducanu. The American had lost twice before to the former US Open champion this year and was eager for revenge.

She did exactly that with a straight-sets victory with just three games dropped. The world number five, who has now improved to 33-13 for the season, is yet to relinquish a set this week. This year’s Wimbledon finalist, the 23-year-old, has lost just one of her last nine matches. Anisimova finished as runner-up in this event last season.

Elina Svitolina has won three of the four previous meetings with Anisimova. They, however, haven’t battled in four years, and she is now coming up a much-improved player.

The Ukrainian has also been in great form this week and has won both her matches without a set dropped. She made light work of Anna Kalinskaya in the second round, allowing the Russian just two games in the less than an hour contest.

The world number 13 has now won 34 of her 45 fixtures this year, with 13 of those wins coming on hard courts. A semi-finalist in Madrid and champion in Rouen, Svitolina is a former Rogers Cup semi-finalist.
