Alexandre Muller will be looking to mount a strong title defence after winning the 2025 Hong Kong Open. What's even more interesting is that Muller beat Miomir Kecmanovic on his run to the final, winning the Serbian 2-1 in the RO16. That final win marked his first ATP Tour title, although his trophy cabinet has a few Challenger Tour and ITF titles.

If anything, Muller will be looking to make a deep run in his title defence, so exiting in the first stage will be out of the question. However, Miomir Kecmanovic is just as hungry to get his revenge and add to his trophy cabinet.

Kecmanovic met with Muller three times last year, but won only one meeting, which was also a RO32 game in the Stockholm Open. He was on track to knock out the reigning champion in that RO16 game after winning the first set. But Kecmanovic slipped up to Muller, ending the game with a loss but a draw in games (19-19).
