Alexander Bublik is the top seed and defending champion in the Kitzbuhel Open. Round two sees him take on qualifier Facundo Diaz Acosta. This is only the second time Acosta has reached round two of an ATP TOur event this year and our prediction is Alexander Bublik will beat him.
Whoever wins will take on either seventh seed Raphael Collignon or unseeded Daniel Altmaier.
Alexander Bublik would love a repeat of last year's performance here. He won four matches to lift the trophy and didn't drop a set all week. The world number 11 isn't in the best of form with three straight losses but should be able to avoid an early exit here.
He has reached one ATP Tour clay court semi-final this year and the last eight in Monte Carlo.
Facundo Diaz Acosta was only 108th in the latest rankings. Of his 54 matches this year, all but four have been played on clay with 38 wins. Four Challenger Tour titles have been won with one other final reached.
However, since winning the ATP Buenos Aires title in 2024, he has only once gotten past round two on the main tour on this surface. This is only his second time past round one of an ATP Tour event this year.
He's won two qualifiers this week and beat Federico Cina in round one.
