Novak Djokovic is in his 15th Wimbledon quarter final. The second seed faces ninth-seeded Alex de Minaur for a place in the last four. Waiting in the semi-final for the winner is either Taylor Fritz or Lorenzo Musetti.

Of his previous 14 Wimbledon quarter finals, the Serb has only lost two of them. The Serb was an injury doubt for this tournament but has been getting better as each round progresses. He dropped a set against both Jacob Fearnley and Alexei Popyrin but on Monday defeated Holger Rune in straight sets.

Djokovic leads de Minaur 2-1 in previous meetings. They’ve met twice this year with the score 1-1 but this is their first match on grass. The knee problem that nearly ruled him out of this tournament doesn't seem to be causing any major problems for him.

Alex de Minaur is in only his third Grand Slam quarter final but his second in a row. He’s yet to reach a semi-final. This is the first time that the Australian has made it to the last eight at Wimbledon. His previous best was getting to the fourth round in 2022.

His 2024 grass court season has seen him win the Libema Open. At Wimbledon, he’s only had to play three matches as his third-round opponent Lucas Pouille withdrew. His first two matches were won in straight sets, but he had to go to four sets to defeat Arthur Fils. We go for Djokovic to win but both players to win a set.
