Unseeded Quentin Halys bids to reach the third round of a tournament for the first time this year. He faces 16th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in round two of the outdoor hard court Miami Open. Our match prediction follows below.

Halys has been in six second rounds this year but lost all of them. He was also beaten in round two of this Sunshine Swing Masters tournament last year. He'll hope to repeat his 2023 Miami performance when he reached the fourth round.

The 29-year-old beat Liam Draxl in round one but needed a deciding set to progress. Six of his last ten matches have seen more than 20.5 games played. All but three of those saw at least one 7-5 or 7-6 set played.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is attempting to reach round three of this tournament for the third time, He last made it to that stage in 2024  The 26-year-old has got to one outdoor hard court semi-final this year. That was in Adelaide in January.
