Albania host Iceland for the final game of their Nations League exploits for 2022. In a group that had no threat of relegation due to Russia’s sanctions, Israel emerged as the dominant team leaving Albania and Iceland with little to play for since early on. The result was entertaining games, as all five match-ups of this group featured both teams to score and four of them ended with Over 2.5 goals. The Albanian side are in poor form heading into this one. They are winless in their last six games, only beating a weakened Andorra side in their last nine. Goals have also been hard to come by. They have failed to score more than once in their last ten games and seven of their last eight in Tirana have failed to see both teams score. On the upside, there is nothing at stake but pride in this game, and five of the last meetings between these two sides featured goals at both ends. 

Iceland continue their steady decline ever since their surprise performance in the Euro of 2016. They have claimed three points in this group, courtesy of three draws and have won only twice in their last eleven. In addition, they have a mere three wins in their last eighteen games on the road, and even those came against San Marino, Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein. To top it all off, their tradition when visiting Albania is quite poor, having lost three of their previous four meetings against them, albeit scoring four in their last two encounters.
