Asian champions Al Hilal have a top clash in the FIFA Club World Cup; they take on Chelsea in the semi finals after eliminating Abu Dhabi’s Al Jazira in the last round. Giants in Saudi Arabia, Al Hilal will be out to make a statement of their ambitions, having beaten Al Jazira 6-1 in the last game. In the Saudi Arabia Pro League, Al Hilal have been a bit inconsistent and have dropped to fourth place, 13 points behind the league leaders. Al Hilal have managed just one clean sheet in their last five matches, with both sides scoring in four of the five games. Six of their last seven matches have produced over 2.5 goals. This is their second participation in the Club World Cup and in the four games they’ve played at this level so far, they have two wins.

Chelsea will welcome this break, as things haven’t been very smooth for them domestically. In their last game, Chelsea had to rise from down to beat League One side Plymouth Argyle in extra time in the FA Cup. The Blues have scored twice in each of the last two matches but they have just two clean sheets in the last five matches. Just one of their last five matches has produced over 2.5 goals but the Blues have also failed to score in one of the last five matches. Chelsea will be without goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who is away on international duty but Kepa has proven to be an able deputy in the last month. The last time Chelsea took part in the Club World Cup was in 2012, and this will be their third game in the competition. They lost one and won the other of their two earlier matches in this competition.
