Unseeded Arthur Rinderknech faces lucky loser Adam Walton in this second round match in the Atlanta Open. Our analysis and prediction will give you more ideas on just who might make it into the last eight of this hard court tournament.

Arthur Rinderknech is 64th in the latest rankings but down to 80th in the live list. That's because he's about to drop the points won when winning a Challenger Tour title last July. He's not in the Olympics so needs to find form on hard courts ahead of the US Open.

This is his first hard court tournament since the Miami Masters in March. His best result on this surface on the ATP Tour has been a quarter final in Marseille. He did win the Challenger Tour event held in Lille five months ago.

Round one of this Atlanta Open saw the Frenchman beat lucky loser J J Wolf for the loss of five games. Now the 29-year-old (his birthday is July 23) plays another player who lost in the qualifying rounds but has been reinstated into the main draw.

Adam Walton has faced Rinderknech once before. The pair were drawn together at Roland Garros with the Frenchman winning in straight sets. Walton is a career-high 95th in the rankings but now up to 88th in the live list.

That's not what the Australian expected when losing to Mattia Bellucci in the final qualifying round of this tournament. He was then reinstated as a lucky loser and in round one beat the sixth seed Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets.

He's won two hard court Challenger Tour events this year and reached three other finals. On the ATP Tour though he'd only had two main draw wins before this week, both on grass. We tip Rinderknech to win this match.
