Simon Kjaer scored a late equalizer in their clash against Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash to keep AC Milan in the tie. Now the Italians are set to host Manchester United with the two sides battling it out for a place in the quarters. Milan have to really up their game after another poor showing ended in a 1-0 loss to Napoli in Serie A and threw their chances of challenging for the league title in further jeopardy. The recent weeks haven’t been so good for Milan; the team has managed just two wins in the last nine matches and one clean sheet. It has been worse for them at home, failing to win any of the last four. They’ve actually managed just one win in the last six home matches, their last home win having come early in February over one of the low placed sides – Crotone. The Red Devils will approach this game needing to score but their away record has been impressive and that should not worry them. In their last 12 away matches, United have not lost a game. This season, across all competitions, Manchester United have played 22 away matches and they’ve lost two – both of them in the Champions League. Their scoring run away from home should be a source of confidence; the team has scored two goals or more in nine of their last 15 away matches. They have four straight away clean sheets and in the Europa League away matches, they’ve lost just twice in the last 13.
