AC Milan have had a good season so far but loss and a draw with Lille in the Europa League in Group H, means they have to win their final two group games to secure qualification to the next round. They will be hosting Scottish side Celtic on Match Day 5 as they seek the ticket for the next round. Going to this game, Milan are second in the group with seven points and Celtic are bottom on one point. Milan had the perfect prep for this game with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fiorentina, which granted them their second clean sheet in 10 matches. They have no win in their last two Europa League matches, having played back to back against Lille, and after losing at home to the French side, Milan will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. That loss to Lille at home, was Milan’s only loss in their last 29 matches and with Lille playing third placed Sparta Praha, the Italians will be hoping to better their result, which will take them to the top of this group. There is no question about Milan’s attack; they have scored two or more goals in nine of their last 11 matches at home. They are also not badly off in the Europa League, with just one loss, and four wins in their last seven matches in the competition. Seven of their last 10 matches in the competition have produced over 2.5 goals and each of the last six Europa League games at home have also yielded over 2.5 goals. On the defensive side though, Milan have left many questions; they have conceded two or more goals in five of their last seven home matches in the Europa League. However, they will be confident going to this game, having registered four straight wins and three clean sheets against Celtic.

Celtic and Milan have met nine times, and the Scots have one win to show. They head here with an almost non-existent chance of advancing to the next round. With one point so far, they can only hope that third placed Sparta Praha and Milan do not win any of their remaining two matches. That would still be useless for Celtic if they fail to collect six points from their remaining group matches. Celtic go to this match with two straight losses. It has not been very fruitful for them in the past few matches; they have two wins and five losses in their last 10 matches and just one clean sheet in the 10 matches. Ahead of this game, they were beaten by Ross County in the League Cup, making it the eighth time in 10 matches that they have conceded two goals or more. It was however the second time in 10 matches that they have failed to score. Seven of their last 10 matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have just one win in their last five away matches, with the five away matches having each yielded over 2.5 goals. They have no win in four Europa League matches and have conceded two goals or more in each of them, making it a total of 13 goals conceded, but they have scored in all of the four, a total of five goals.
