English Premiership leaders Northampton Saints host Saracens who are third in the table. The Saints lead the table by just two points with five regular season games remaining. They are only three points clear of their opponents. Last week was not a good one for Northampton with a 52-21 loss at Bristol. That defeat ended ar run of ten consecutive wins but they need to pick themselves off the floor for this tough match against Saracens. Northampton have won six of their seven home league games this season. This will be a tad more difficult than their last win at Franklin Gardens when beating bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons 38-13. That was their fifth straight home win after a defeat by Bristol. Northampton won the reverse fixture against Saracens but lost to them in last season's play-offs.

Saracens had a very different weekend from the one that Northampton experienced last week. They beat Harlequins 52-7 at home to record their eighth league win of the season with only five games lost. They were boosted by the return of their international players who had been on Six Nations duty. Saracens have won three away league fixtures this season but lost the same number. Their most recent away game was a 19-10 loss at Leicester Tigers. With their international players back in the fold, Saracens can get an important away win at Northampton Saints.
