This has to be one of the most anticipated matches in the UEFA Women's Nations League, and it's the heated rivalry between Germany and France.

Germany has gotten the better of their opponents in two of their last three competitive matches. The eight-time European champions first triumphed over France in July 2022 when they won 2-1 in the Euro semi-finals.

Most recently, DFB-Frauenteam won 6-5 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's EURO 2025. Regarding their performance in the 2025 UEFA Women's Nations League, they managed to reach the semi-finals by finishing at the top of League A Group A1 with 16 points to their name.

As for France, their win against Germany came in this competition. However, this was in the previous edition of the UEFA Women's Nations League semi-final, with Les Bleus coming out on top in a 2-1 victory before losing to eventual winners Spain in the finals. Spain are the defending champions of the UEFA Women's Nations League after winning the competition last season for the first time in their history.

As a result of being crowned champions, they have a target on their backs with different nations drooling over their prestigious crown. However, La Roja remains composed under this pressure and have certainly proven their worth as a dominant force in European football.

In the group stages of the UEFA Women's Nations League, La Roja, as expected of them, finished as League A Group A3 winners with 15 points to their name.

Sweden have the upper hand in this fixture against the European giants. There's no knowing what kind of team comes into this crucial encounter, which makes it scary, considering they can be a very competitive side. One certain thing is that: they won't easily back down without a fight.

The Blue-Yellow are out to exact revenge on Spain. This is the same side that condemned them to two defeats in the 2023-24 UEFA Women's Nations League - inaugural season. Located in Nations League A division Group 4, their last outing against this opponent resulted in a morale-sapping 5-3 defeat.

How can we forget that in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, they couldn't reach the finals after suffering a setback in the semi-finals.

Going back to their performance in the current edition of the UEFA Women's Nations League semi-final, they finished at the top of League A Group A4 with 12 points to their name. This marks their first-ever appearance at this stage, and they will be out to impress in their first attempt.
