The past fortnight in Paris has been nothing short of incredible, and perhaps fittingly, the two best players in the world, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, are set to take their rivalry to another level, as they prepare to face off against each other in a Grand Slam final for the first time ever!

Alcaraz aiming to prove he is the king of clay

The French Open 2025 final is here, and our Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz prediction is online now, so be sure to check it out ahead of this blockbuster Grand Slam showdown for the ages.

Carlos Alcaraz is once again proving why he is the best player to step onto the clay court since Rafael Nadal. He enters the final of the 2025 French Open having won 33 of his last 35 matches on the surface with a 24-3 lifetime record at Roland Garros.

Alcaraz is bidding to become the youngest men's player to defend the French Open title since Nadal did so between 2005 and 2008. He also has the psychological advantage in his match, as he has not lost to Sinner in almost two years.

Indeed, the Spaniard now leads the rivalry 7-4, including wins in each of their last four encounters, two of which were on clay. He beat Sinner in the sem-finals here last year, and did likewise 7-6(5), 6-1 at the Italian Open just three weeks ago.

The defending champion has beaten Giulio Zeppieri, Fabian Marozsan, Damir Dzumhur, Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Musetti en route to the final, and has won every match at Roland Garros this year in four sets or fewer.

After claiming the US Open and Australian Open titles, which confirmed our tennis predictions, Jannik Sinner comes into the French Open final riding a 20-match winning streak at the majors and is now the youngest man to reach three consecutive Grand Slam singles finals since Pete Sampras in 1994.

Since the start of his title-winning run, the Italian has lost only nine of the 120 matches he has featured in. However, there is no denying that the one thing that will be playing in the back of his mind is that four of those defeats came against the Spanish sensation he faces on Sunday.

Still, the world number one cannot be overlooked, as he has not dropped a single set at Roland Garros this year and has won 29 matches on the bounce in Grand Slams since his Australian Open triumph. He is now 18-1 in 2025.

Additionally, there is a case to be made that Sinner will be the fresher of the finalists this weekend, having only returned to the court in May following suspension for a banned substance. Since then, he has won 11 of 12 in straight sets, with his most recent victory coming over Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 7-6(3), in the semi-final of this competition.
