Yulia Putintseva vs Marketa Vondrousova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Miami

World number 33 Marketa Vondrousova takes on Yulia Putintseva in the Miami Masters second round. The winner of this match could face fifth seed Paula Badosa in round three. Vondrousova was as low as 41st in the rankings this year but has gone back up to 33rd. She's the 30th seed for this tournament and has a good record in Miami. Her last two appearances have seen her get to a quarter final and last year, the last 16 losing to a top 10 ranked player on both occasions. This year has been highlighted by a run to the semi-finals in Dubai. Vondrousova had to qualify for that event and had won six matches before withdrawing from her last four match against Veronika Kudermetova. At Indian Wells, Vondrousova got to the last 16 and this time did get on court with Kudermetova and lost in three sets.

Yulia Putintseva is ranked 47th, a drop of five places from the start of the year. It's not been a good 2022 so far for Putintseva and is yet to get to the last 32 of a tournament. The Australian Open saw her lose in the first round to Harmony Tan who was ranked 108th at the time. Then she lost in the third qualifying round in Dubai and it was Vondrousova who beat her in three sets.That was the third loss in as many matches to her opponent in this match. Putintseva had lost three of her last four matches before this tournament. The only win coming over world number 542 Alice Kreuger at Indian Wells, before losing in round two to Viktorija Golubic.  To reach this second round in Miami, Putintseva beat wlld card Nastasja Schunk (ranked 243rd) but had to come from behind to do so. Go for Vondrousova to win this.
