Yulia Putintseva vs Madison Keys Prediction & Betting Tips - Roland Garros

This is the furthest that Madison Keys has got at the French Open and the 13th seed is bidding to reach only her third Grand Slam semi-final with a win over unseeded Russian Yulia Putintseva. Keys has reached a final and two quarter-finals in her last three Grand Slam tournaments.  The American hasn't had a great deal of success here in the past but that's all changed this year and in her four matches this year at Roland Garros she is yet to drop a set. Clay form this year reach the last four in Charleston and the last sixteen in Rome where she lost to world number one Simona Halep.

Yulia Putintseva is ranked 98th in the world but will be a lot higher after this run to the quarter finals of the French Open. The first round saw her knock out 23rd seed Johanna Konta in straight sets and another seed was beaten in the last sixteen when she defeated 26th seed Barbora Strycova. The Russian has only dropped one set so far in the tournament and this is her second quarter final in this tournament after a last eight appearance in 2016 where she lost in three sets to Serena Williams. She's slid down the rankings though having at one time been as high as 26.  This year has seen her reach the last sixteen in Tapei City and her best win of the year was when she defeated world number 10 Sloane Stephens on clay in Germany who she could meet in the semi-final if getting past Keys. The pair have only met once before with the Russian winning in three sets in Tokyo two years ago. Keys has made the most progress since then and she can win here to make the semi-finals.
