Al Ahly will be away to Young Africans on Saturday seeking to keep their 100% start in Group D of the Champions League. The visitors top the group after one round of play while Young Africans are bottom. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2016. Young Africans were humbled 3-0 away to Algeria’s Belouizdad on matchday one with the result ending a five-game winning streak. The Tanzanian champions will know another loss here will significantly reduce their knockout round chances. But given their stunning form at home, Miguel Gamondi’s men will be confident of rising to the occasion. Yanga have lost only once as hosts in the last two years across all competitions. Al Ahly arrive for this match having not lost any of their last six games. Though they have battled a lack of consistency, they have won three times in this stretch. One of those victories was a convincing 3-0 success at home over Ghana’s Medeama on matchday one. The win extended the defending African champions’ unbeaten streak in this competition to 11 games. Marcel Koller’s men, who won the competition last season, have won nine times in this stretch. They have kept an impressive nine clean sheets and have scored at least three goals a game six times. The Red Devils lost their hold on top spot in the Egyptian Premier League following a 0-0 draw with Smouha last time out.
