Basement boys Yokohama F. Marinos play host to 17th-placed FC Tokyo at Nissan Stadium on matchday 15 in the J1 League. Here's our match prediction.

After a poor season in the J1 League that saw them finish in ninth place last year, Yokohama F. Marinos have seen their performance go from bad to worse in the current campaign. 

Anchored at the bottom of the table, the Marinos' 33-year stay in the top-flight is under threat. They have already sacked two managers this season, leaving Hideo Oshima as an interim manager. 

Hideo Oshima's charges are winless in three matches across all competitions, including a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Okayama. This also includes an early exit in the second round of the Emperor's Cup at the hands of Reinmeer Aomori. 

FC Tokyo are in danger of slipping into the drop zone with just one measly point separating them from the red dotted line. 

Last time out against Gamba Osaka in the league, Rikizo Matsuhashi's men suffered a 2-0 away defeat, with Marcelo Ryan missing a penalty in the 52nd minute that could have turned out to be an equalizer. 

Their winless run in the league has now been extended to five games (D1, L4), and their chances of ending this unwanted run are slim. This is about their poor away form, which currently sees them riding a four-match losing streak.
