19th seed Adrian Mannarino begins his Miami Open campaign. After receiving a first round bye, he takes on unseeded Yannick Hanfmann in the last 64 of this Masters 1000 tournament. The winner will face either 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov or unseeded Alejandro Tabilo in round three. Mannarino has twice made it to the fourth round of this outdoor hard court event. Once in 2015 and last year when eventually being beaten by qualifier Christopher Eubanks. The Italian is 20th in the live rankings and 31st in the Live ATP Race. He's shown some good form on outdoor hard courts this year. The last 16 of the Australian Open was reached and a semi-final in Dallas. His last tournament was in Indian Wells where he lost in his second match to possible round three opponent Grigor Dimitrov. There's been one previous meeting between the pair with Mannarino beating Hanfmann on grass last year.

Yannick Hanfmann beat Emil Ruusuvouri in three sets in his first round match. He won the first set, dropped the second but won the final one 6-4. That's taken him into round two of this tournament for only the second time. The other was three years ago but he's never previously made it past this stage. His first round win took him up to 52nd in the live rankings and 87th in the Live ATP Race. His best form this year has been on clay courts with a quarter final in Cordoba. Five previous hard court tournaments this year have seen him fail to win two successive matches. We tip Mannarino to make it into round three.
