Fifth placed West Bromwich Albion will seek to move closer to securing their top six place in the Championship when they host Bristol City. The visitors are 11 points out of the top six and will hope to reignite their promotion hopes with a win here. It is, however, West Brom who come into this game in better form, having not lost in the last five outings. The only sides to have beaten West Brom in the last 11 outings, were teams in the top six – Southampton and Norwich City. The Baggies are coming into this game from a 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town. In that clash, they scored four second half goals, coming from a losing position for the third time in four matches. These comebacks mean West Brom have been scoring more than a goal in moist recent games. They’ve actually scored more than once in four of their last five matches, all four producing over 2.5 goals. However, with just a clean sheet in six matches, some work needs to be done on their defending. They’ve conceded just under a goal on average per game this season in the Championship.

Bristol City will come into this encounter having scored in seven of their last 10 league matches, a run they’ll hope lifts them against West Brom. Bristol City have only lost once in their last five meetings with West Brom, and won twice. Coming into this game there is little doubt about their status as underdogs.
