Watford vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Leeds United will hope to open a gap at the top of the Championship standings when they travel to Watford next. Going into this game, hosts Watford are nine points above the relegation zone while a superior goal difference has Leeds top. With 38 matches played, Watford have 48 points, and are not yet safe from the drop. It is highly unlikely they’ll be in the relegation scrap, but that’s not to say they’ve had a great season. So far they’ve managed just 12 wins, and lost more than they won (14). Their run up to this game hasn’t been great either, though they are coming from a 1-0 away win at Birmingham City. Emmanuel Dennis’ goal in that game handed them a second win in 13 matches. in their last 10 matches, they suffered seven defeats. Coming into this game, Watford’s home form will be a major concern for stand-in manager Tom Cleverley. They have no win in nine straight home games, losing six of them.

Leeds United haven't had much trouble when facing Watford in recent matches. Their 3-0 win in the reverse fixture was the third straight victory against Watford, all with clean sheets. They won 3-0 in each of the last two meetings and will be fired up for this one as well. With 82 points in the bag, Leeds are a win away from securing their place in the top six. The target for them is however to secure automatic promotion. Only one point separates the top three sides and Leeds will know they can’t afford a slip up here. They took full advantage of Leicester City’s recent slips, with the Foxes winning just once in the last four league games. The Whites come here straight from a 2-0 win over Millwall courtesy of goals from Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James. That was their third straight win, and fourth unbeaten outing. In the league alone, Leeds United are unbeaten in their last 13 matches, winning 12. Their away run in the league hasn’t been bad either, Leeds drawing once and winning five of six away league games.
