11th placed Villarreal host Valencia who are three places and five points above them. The home side are only eight points behind the final Europa Conference League position and come into this game looking for a fourth consecutive win in La Liga. The last three have seen them score 11 goals, most recently a 3-2 win at Real Betis. They did well to get that victory after twice trailing in the match. Home form has seen them win four of their 14 league games but last time out they beat Granada 5-1 after three successive draws. They’ll want to do better than in the reverse fixture against Valencia. That was played in January and saw Valencia win 3-1.

Valencia are just three points behind the Europa Conference League place in La Liga. They won their last league game 1-0 at home against Getafe. That was a much-needed win after going three matches without a victory, two of them being drawn. One of those was against leaders Real Madrid but they did lead 2-0 in that home match. On their travels, Los Ches have only won three of their 13 league fixtures with just 14 goals scored. Their last two away league fixtures have both been lost 2-0 at Atletico Madrid and Las Palmas. Only two of the last 12 on the road have been won and that’s really hindering their hopes of European football next season. We go for Villarreal to get a home win in this match.
