Venezia vs Ternana Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie B

Venezia host Ternana for Serie B’s gameweek fifteen. Venezia are nineteenth while Ternana lie seventh.  There are three automatic relegation places (18th to 20th) and the sides finising 16th and 17th go into a relegation play-out with teams from Serie C. The Venice side are in an extremely precarious position  and three points away from safety.  The following weeks will be crucial for them and upcoming games include taking on two of the current bottom four. Fresh from a disappointing inaugural Serie A season that saw them relegated, they are now in penultimate place of the Serie B standings with a meagre twelve points from fourteen games. If matters could not get any worse, they have by far the worst home record in the league with just one point from seven home league games. The last four home league games have all been lost with at least two goals conceded. 2022 has seen them win just one home league game all year, a win over Bologna in Serie A nearly seven months ago. They did however, claim a major win at the weekend, escaping with a 1-0 victory from the Renzo Barbera in Palermo, putting an end to a period of five defeats in six games, with the Venice outfit having the opportunity to escape the automatic relegation places with a win here. 

With regards to Ternana, the comic references to Jekyll and Hyde are stark. They have followed up a period of six consecutive wins with a dismal showing of five winless games, including three scoreless draws. It is quite hard to pinpoint what exactly has gone wrong for Ternana there, yet they have now fallen to seventh place in the Serie B table. They are in the promotion play-off positions and only four points off the second and final automatic promotion place. On the upside, they have performed well on their travels. 10 points had been earned from four away league fixtures before their recent loss at in-form Pisa who have 11 points from their last five league matches. Looking at the form table for the last five away matche Ternana are in second place. The only downside would be their poor recent record when travelling to Venice, having lost each of their last three away matchups with Venezia.
