Ninth-placed Vancouver Whitecaps will clash with the league leaders of the Western Conference, the Seattle Sounders, this Sunday. The hosts have earned 14 points so far this season and are nine points off the leaders after 12 matches. They come into this one off the back of two consecutive losses, the most recent coming against Dallas last week. Vancouver Whitecaps have recorded two wins, two draws, and two losses in their last six matches. While they have lost their last two matches, both of those were away fixtures. At home, the Whitecaps have been better, conceding just one loss in their first six matches at BC Place, while picking up three wins and two draws. They are unbeaten in their last five home matches. The last time these sides met, the Whitecaps pulled off a 2-1 win, and they have not been beaten by this opponent in the last three matches at this venue. A win in this one will be a huge result for the hosts and will likely see them move up a few places in a congested league table.

Seattle Sounders haven't won at this ground in the last two seasons, and despite leading the league race, they are certainly not unbeatable.
