Union Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt Predictions & Betting Tips (Bundesliga)

Fourth placed Union Berlin host Eintracht Frankfurt who are sixth in the Bundesliga. The home side are in the final Champions League qualifying position but only on goal difference from Freiburg who play later on Sunday. Both of these clubs had a disappointing time in Europe in midweek. Union Berlin were beaten 3-0 at Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League, while Frankfurt lost their Champions League game at Napoli. The loss in Belgium extended Union's winless run to five games but three have been drawn. They have only lost two of their last 14 competitive fixtures and both were on the road, including a 3-0 loss at Bayern Munich. Home form has seen Union Berlin yet to lose in the Bundesliga this season. Seven games have been won and four drawn. Three of the last five have ended level, the last two both being goalless.

Eintracht Frankfurt are in the Europa Conference League qualifying position. They are five points behind fifth place so a loss this weekend would seriously damage their hopes of making it into either of the other two European competitions. Frankfurt are also struggling for form at present with no wins in their last five games in all competitions. Two of those were against Napoli but in the Bundesliga, they only have two points from their last three games. The most recent saw them held to a 1-1 home draw by Stuttgart. Frustratingly, they have led in their last two league games but drew both of them. Away from home, Frankfurt have won four of their 12 league games with three defeats. They have gone six without a win but four of those have been drawn, all seeing both teams score. We're going for both teams to score in this important fixture.
