Toulouse and Strasbourg have shown great signs of recovery and will hope to extend that when they meet in Ligue 1. Hosts Toulouse have a superior goal difference with the two sides tied at 32 points after 27 matches. This tally is just six points above the relegation playoff spot, thus both teams will view it as a must-win game. Toulouse snapped their two-game winning run with a 3-0 away win at Clermont in their last game. Vincent Sierro’s brace in that game took his tally in the last five matches to four goals. Three of those goals were from the penalty spot. A fourth win in six league matches fueled Toulouse’s belief in their quest for survival and they will be targeting three more points here. However, one clean sheet in their last nine league matches points to more work to do. In their last 11 matches, Toulouse have posted two clean sheets, both against sides in the relegation zone. The hosts have however failed to score in just two of those 11 league matches.

Strasbourg seem to be shaking off their poor run in the season as the campaign approaches the business end. They will head into this game with two straight wins and well pumped up for this challenge. Like Toulouse, the concern for Strasbourg will be more on their defending as they failed to score in just three of 20 matches. Both teams scored in 13 of their last 16 matches across all competitions and the same defensive concerns exist in their away form. Strasbourg have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last 10 away league matches. They will however be glad to have scored in each of the last nine away league matches.
